Please use the additional resources on this page to gather more information with regards to making decisions revolving around Breast Implant Illness and your journey. Recommended Explant Surgeons
These 7 surgeons listed below do explants on a regular basis, believe in Breast Implant Illness, have the most experience with explant surgery, are very skilled, and are committed to en block when possible and complete capsulectomy. They are very reputable among the breast implant illness groups. I personally would only recommend a surgeon from this top 6 list, but I understand that this is not always possible for everyone. You will find additional surgeons listed by state HERE who are also quite reputable. This list was created from countless testimonials from women who have explanted. When choosing an explant surgeon, it is ultimately important to chose someone who you feel comfortable with, who you connect with, and who is committed to performing en block and complete capsulectomy for the best health outcome. I recommend seeking testimonials from women in the various Facebook groups in addition to having consultations with several surgeons until you find the right fit for you. The worst thing you can do is make a rash decision out of panic once you have discovered BII. “Just getting them out” is not ideal nor is it recommended. Please take your time in finding the right surgeon for you.
Top 7 Explant Surgeons:
Anne Ziegenhorn: I consider Anne Ziegenhorn to be the go-to expert for help with insurance pre-authorization before surgery or reimbursement after the fact. I would highly recommend contacting her prior to explant so she can help you get all your ducks in a row so to speak for the best chance of at least some insurance coverage. If you’ve already explanted, no problem, she can still help! Note that not all insurance will cover explant surgery. It is dependent on a number of factors and each policy is different. Her fee for her service is well worth it to have her in your corner fighting to save you thousands.
Anne Ziegenhorn is a former plastic surgeon scrub tech who was misdiagnosed over and over, had organs removed and was given 2 weeks left to live… all due to her breast implants. It appears in her medical documentation she is an undiagnosed case of BIA-ALCL from her Mentor Siltex 2600 Implants. Anne understands from the plastic surgery side to the patient side you’re going through. She will fight for your coverage and is very successful at it. She is typically able to save you between $4,000-$8,000
A note From Anne: “Our organization offers assistance to see If your insurance plan will help pay for your explant through Pre-Authorization or Reimbursement. We will do a consultation to see if our services are a fit for your case ($25 for a 5-15 minute consultation which will be applied to the fee if we go into contract). If it seems our organization can assist you, we enter into a contract. We will be by your side through the entire process start to finish, making 3-way phone calls to the insurance company and doctors with you and more. Every case is an individual and we make modifications as changes arise. We do ask you for a $700.00 Donation Fee to cover our administration services. A portion goes into a savings plan to help another breastie without insurance get explanted. We hope we may assist you on your road to health.”
*If we are not successful at getting your insurance to cover your explant and you have done what we ask to assist in this process, exhausting all appeals; we will refund $300 to you.
Would you like to schedule your Consult? Anne requests you send her a text message at 850-543-0390 with the following information:
- Insurance Company Name
- Do you need Pre-auth or Reimbursement?
- Saline/Silicone and manufacturer (if known)
- Leak or Rupture (if known)
- Capsular Contracture (if known)
Then she will respond and set up the consultation with you.
Sandra Ruiz: Sandra is a BII survivor and is passionate about helping other women who are trying to get financing for explant and is willing to work with them on a payment plan to fix their credit and she is offering my clients and followers 20% off her services.
From the moment Fix Your Credit Consulting takes on a client, we work constantly on improving and repairing credit for our clients. Since 2003, we
have helped thousands of clients with credit repair and raising their credit scores so they can purchase or refinance homes, purchase cars, start
and/or expand businesses and all with substantially lower interest rates! While repairing credit may not be rocket science, it does require a qualified credit repair expert who knows the law and what they are doing and can be trusted. Our credit repair company can fix your credit, just like we have done for so many others, but you must take the first step and call one of our Credit Experts Los Angeles, for a complimentary consultation.

If you have symptoms of Breast Implant Illness, please report all adverse reactions to the FDA. These reactions can be reported to the FDA through the MedWatch Online Voluntary Reporting Form.

FDA Meeting on March 25 and 26, 2019: The [Medical Devices Advisory] committee will discuss and make recommendations regarding the benefits and risks of breast implants indicated for breast augmentation and reconstruction. For this reason, it is important that you report adverse reactions prior to this meeting if at all possible. If not possible, it is still important to report.

EWG’s Video “10 Americans”: Watch EWG president Ken Cook share shocking information about how babies are born pre-polluted with as many as 300 industrial chemicals in their bodies. One of the most entertaining and sobering presentations that you’ll see about the health effects of environmental pollution. It’s not just the breast implants ladies, but this also shows why tiny doses of toxins matter. https://www.ewg.org/news/videos/10-americans

Founder Reversing Breast Implant Illness. Sarah has a passion for restoring health that has taken her along a path from a practicing RN, to walking away from her conventional nursing career to become a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner, and Breast Implant Illness and Detox Expert. She believes the solution to Reversing Breast Implant illness is about more than just the explant and that we all need to take personal responsibility for restoring our health by addressing the root causes that contribute to chronic illness: toxicity, infections, trauma, and shame. Sarah’s “pain to purpose” is using her personal experience along with her understanding about the body to guide women through the sea of mis-information about Breast Implant Illness in hopes of finding their path to true and lasting healing.
Sarah was once quite happy and comfortable living the conventional life, but she began to look at things very differently when her body started failing her after getting breast implants. Within about six months of getting breast implants, Sarah began to see her once perfect health steadily decline. She began experiencing a myriad of symptoms which no doctor could explain. No one understood what Sarah was going through. She felt completely alone in this invisible illness because on the outside she looked fine. On the inside, the discomfort of living inside her own body was maddening.
Sarah soon realized she was looking in the wrong places, for the wrong things. If she wanted to fix her broken body, she had to stop looking to treat the symptoms; she had to start looking for a cause. It was time to take her health into her own hands and find real answers. She discovered that the root cause was literally inside of her.
Sarah believes there is always a greater purpose within our struggles, and she believes that purpose for her was to learn how to heal her own body so she could then help other women like her do the same. It is Sarah’s believe that the body has an innate desire to heal if given what it needs and she focuses on teaching natural healing principles. Sarah will teach you how to Reverse Breast Implant Illness, take back your health, and live vibrantly!
